Yoga + Pilates

In this class, we combine pilates and yoga for a total body workout focused on toning the glutes, thighs and stomach. This low-impact workout will increase your fitness level. Develop your core strength and stabilization through pilates poses, and improve your flexibility, muscular strength, posture and alignment through yoga poses, breathing and relaxation.

A Typical Class

Each instructor creates his or her own class rhythm. A typical class includes poses from both yoga and pilates including standing poses, twists, core work, balancing poses, forward bends, backbends, inversions and restorative poses. All postures combine flexibility, strength and balance to work the entire body. This class lets your body be your guide. No single pose is required and modifications are available for every pose letting you determine when you're more flexible or ready for more challenging poses.

Tips & Preparation

  • New to class? Arrive a little early so our instructor can give you some pointers
  • Unhurry yourself. Arrive 5 minutes early to set up your mat. You'll feel more relaxed
  • Prepare to sweat

Equipment, Attire & What to Bring

  • Yoga mats are provided or you can bring your own
  • Come to class dressed and to move your body
  • Tighter-fitting, flexible exercise clothing made of breathable material to allow air flow
  • Sweatshirt or warmer layer for the relaxation portion (optional)
  • Water, towel
