Summer’s here! Every child should have the opportunity to go to camp. We need your help so more kids can go to camp.

At the YMCA of Dane County, strengthening community is our cause. Every day, we work side-by-side with our neighbors to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive.

This is evident every day at our YMCA Day Camps where our staff are dedicated to nurturing the potential of every child. We believe that all kids deserve the opportunity to discover who they are and what they can achieve.

At YMCA Day Camps, children have the opportunity to learn about the outdoors, cooking, science, swimming, service learning, conflict resolution and make lasting friendships. Most importantly, they learn the YMCA values: Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility.

The YMCA believes in turning no one away based on the inability to pay. We believe that every child deserves a summer filled with opportunities to learn, grow and thrive. So far in 2011, we have given away more than $356,000 in no cost or subsidized programs and services. This is an increase of over 100% as compared to this time last year. When you support Kids to Camp, you are helping children become the strong, caring, and responsible citizens we want for our community, long after their week at camp is over.

For $205 you can change a child’s life by sending them to a YMCA Day Camp for one week. Please help us reach our goal of sending 125 kids to camp.
