COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS What is the YMCA Community Support Program? The YMCA Community Support Program raises funds so that all may participate in the YMCA regardless of their ability to pay. Members, staff, and the community at large can participate by making a direct gift, participating in fundraising for the program or volunteering for special events. Is financial assistance available at all YMCA of Dane County Branches? Yes, financial assistance is available at every branch of the YMCA of Dane County. You are welcome to use more than one branch for programs and activities. How long will the financial assistance continue? Need for financial assistance is reassessed annually depending on the situation, and are based on the calendar year. How will the financial assistance amount be determined? We have a fee scale, based on total household income and number of dependents, which assists in determining the amount of financial assistance you qualify for. We also consider special circumstances such as medical expenses or loss of employment.
