Specialty Classes

· Ballet

Dance is a wonderful alternative to the traditional exercise class. Two levels are offered.


· Circuit Training

Use strength and aerobic equipment to shape and tone your body in the Lifestyle Center.


· Dance Aerobics

Dance your way to fitness with fun, low-impact choreographed routines.


· Flexible Strength

Improve strength, flexibility, and well being with Pilate style stretching and relaxation techniques. Mats and stretching straps provided.


· Pre-Natal Exercise

Get fit for you and baby too! Includes aerobic exercise, toning, and relaxation.


· Tai Chi

Develop flexibility, balance and strength. An excellent stress reliever. Prices differ in Fall 1


· Women's Strength Training

Learn to use circuit and free weights to strengthen muscles and bones in this class exclusively for women.


· Yoga

Traditional yoga to help you improve strength, balance, flexibility and sense of well-being. Mats provided.


· Teen Free Weight Training

An introduction to use of equipment in the free weight area. For teens 16-17. 4 week session.

Start dates: January 8, February 26


· Teen Strength and Conditioning

A fun, safe introduction to strength training and aerobic conditioning for kids 13-15. 4 week sessions.

East start dates: January 15, March 5

West start dates: January 15, March 5

· Fibromyalgia Movement Class
Group exercise specifically geared to individuals with fibromyalgia. Gentle strength and stretch to increase flexibility, increase endurance and decrease pain. Work out with others with similar challenges. Questions? Call Bonnie Buchanan at 221-1571 (YMCA East)


· Yoga For Families
Parents join your children 5 and over for a fun, relaxing Yoga class in a playful atmosphere that will enhance balance, strength, and calmness for both you and your child.
