Operation Backpack

As a new school year approaches, children and families across Dane County scour department stores and check off lists for all the essential school supplies. Some families, however, do not have the means to purchase new supplies, leaving children poorly equipped for the start of the new year. The YMCA of Dane County wants to do our part in helping ensure all children are prepared for the start of the new year, and have access to the tools and supplies they need for a successful school year.

Join us in late August for Operation Backpack! All three of our YMCA of Dane County branches will host collection sites, making it easy for our members, and the greater community, to chip-in, donate, and help out! The need is great, so if you can, please donate school supply items, backpacks, or more.
