Discovery Day Camp (DDC) is about learning skills, developing character and making friends with a focus on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. DDC is a true outdoor experience that allows children to explore what nature has to offer. Rain or shine, children engage in hiking, fishing, fort building and much more. This camp stresses independence, responsibility, environmental respect and a passion for nature.

Drop-off and pick-up at Northeast YMCA; children are transported daily to the Lion’s Club Clubhouse in Sun Prairie for camp. The Y can transport children from summer school to DDC; call 608 478 4310 for details!

Facility Member: $217/week
Program Member: $269/week
Summer School Rate: $175/week (Must call to have adjusted)
$25 registration fee per child; $10 deposit per week

Week	Theme
Aloha Summer June 11-15	Summer is here! We will spend this week getting to know each other and our surroundings by exploring camp and beginning to make memories that will last a lifetime!
In a Galaxy Far, Far Away June 18-22	Get ready to hop in your space ship as we travel to outer space! Campers will build rockets, explore moon rocks, create galaxy slime and much more!
Mad Science June 25-29	Put on your gloves and goggles as we get ready to put our minds to work with some ooey-gooey, fizzy and messy experiments and projects.
Camper vs. Counselor July 2-6 (No Camp July 4)	This fast-paced week pits campers against counselors in relay races, eating contests, trivia, games, color wars and other fun challenges.
Wet n' Wild July 9-13	We’ll submerge ourselves in the wonderful world of water all week long as we play our favorite water games. This will surely be a week to beat the heat!
The Great DDC Carnival July 16-20	Our campers will learn to juggle, create their own carnival games, face-paint and more as we assemble the first-ever DDC carnival. This will be a can’t-miss week!
Dino Days July 23-27	We’ll travel back millions of years to study some of earth’s mightiest beasts. Be ready for some jaw-dropping surprises!
Show Us What Ya Got July 30-August 3	Campers will showcase their talents in a variety of ways including our own version of Carpool Karaoke! The week closes with a special performance from our counselors that’s not to be missed!
Spirit Week August 6-10	Creativity will run wild as campers and counselors will dress to celebrate our daily theme.
Campfire Cook Off August 13-17	This week, we will transform the campfire into our very own grill and cook some of our favorite campfire foods in a safe setting.
Gargantuan Games August 20-24	Gear up for some big-time fun as we super-size everyday game favorites like Twister®, dodgeball, Jenga® and even a giant slip-and-slide!
See Ya Summer August 27-31	Send summer off with a blast by revisiting the most-popular games and activities that we enjoyed over the course of the summer.
