So, how are YMCA of Dane County Summer Camps different?

  • EXPERIENCE: We know kids! After years of operating camp, we've learned a thing or two about providing the best possible camp experience for your child and you
  • FAMILIES SEND THEIR KIDS YEAR AFTER YEAR: 80-90% of our campers return the following Summer! Why? Because while camp is so much fun, what kids are really experiencing are positive life lessons.
  • ONE OF A KIND: No other camp program combines such a dynamic curriculum, mature staff, and well organized summer camp program.

    • What if my child gets sick? We isolate your child and keep them comfortable until a parent or guardian can pick them up.
    • How do you handle campers' meds? Parents complete a Medical Authorization form; all medications are kept with staff and are given to the child(ren) when it is designated.
    • Do you serve organic food? Yes, we serve a variety of snack options.
    • How do you handle food allergies? Parents fill out a child profile with suggestions and recommendations and staff accommodate during snack times by offering separate seating. Our staff snack shoppers are notified of allergies and shop accordingly. It is suggested that families send additional appropriate snacks for camp.
