At YDay Camp, kids grow in many ways. They grow in confidence. They develop new skills, and they learn what it means to be a good friend. YMCA Day Camp offers children ages 214 fun and learning theyll never forget.
What your child will do at YDay Camps!
Anything from swimming and team sports to crafts and studying the environment. Most importantly, your child will be in a safe, friendly environment where the YMCAs core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility are an integral part of the curriculum.
Depend On Us
We choose our staff based on their experience and sensitivity to childrens needs. They will inspire your child and create opportunities for them to learn and explore the world around them.
Register Early
Camps are located throughout the greater Dane County. However, space is limited, so sign up soon! You do not have to be a YMCA member to register. A non-refundable, non-transferable deposit for each week of camp must be paid at registration. Full payment due two weeks prior to the start of camp. A $20 late fill will be charged if payment is late.
All Are Welcome at the YMCA
Every child should have the opportunity to attend camp. The YMCAs Financial Assistance program, supported in part through contributions to the Strong Kids Campaign, provides funds for those in need within our available resources. Complete details are available at all area YMCA branches.

1st — 6th Grade
Club Wannago is for children entering 1st grade through 6th grade (age limit 12). While at Club Wannago, your child will be in a group of children their own age participating in a variety of teacher led activities including active games, cooking, arts and crafts, skits, group challenges and much more all revolving around a weekly theme. There will also be weekly swimming and field trips provided at no additional cost.
Hours: 7:00am—5:45pm
Eleven one week sessions running
from June 9-August 22, 2003.

Discovery Day Camp |

1st — 6th Grade
Discovery Day Camp is for children entering 1st grade through 6th grade (age limit 12). Camp begins and ends each day at Orchard Ridge Elementary School with the majority of the day spent at the beautiful and rustic Madison School Forest. Located just outside Verona, the camp is a wonderful blend of forest, pine plantation, scenic rock bluffs and a one-acre grass field surrounded by cabins. Discovery Day Camp is a traditional camp led by counselors with theme based activities, group challenges and swimming at the YMCA.

Five two week sessions, and a one week session (August 18-22) running from June 9-August 22, 2003.

Sports Camps - Part Day
Ages 7—12
Through sport specific skills sessions, the Sports Camp Part Day program focuses on skill development, learning the rules of the game and actual play. All activities are focused on becoming more familiar with the sport, improving physical coordination and making new friends! During the camp we will divide the campers into grade specific. Sports Camp - Full Day
1 — 6th Grade
This full-day camp is designed to help youth ages 7-12 develop physical coordination through sport skills, drills, and games while learning the value of sportsmanship and fair play! Whether your child wants to try a sport for the first time or improve his or her level of play, our counselors will provide the appropriate coaching and individualized attention. Campers choose up to 3 sports per week, and instruction is geared to their age group and skill level.
Offered: Baseball/Softball, Basketball, Field Hockey, Floor Hockey, Golf, Soccer, Bocceball, Tennis, Volleyball, Football, Frisbee/Frisbee Golf, Badminton, Track-n-Field, Team Building Activities, Swimming and Field Trips.

Week 1 - Cardinal Soccer Camp
This week will focus on passing, scoring, goal tending, working with the ball and learning all positions. Ken Burghy, Middleton's Head Boys Soccer Coach and his staff, will be running a three-hour soccer clinic each day. The campers will have an opportunity to sign up for a variety of sport classes the remainder of the day as well as swimming at Spring Harbor Beach and a field trip to Fast Forward for roller skating!
Week 2 - Basketball Camp
Basketball skills, including dribbling, shooting and passing, will be taught and practiced. Players from Beloit College will be conducting a three-hour football clinic each day. The campers will have an opportunity to sign up for a variety of sport classes the remainder of the day as well as swimming at
Spring Harbor Beach. For our field trip we will be playing mini golf, highball and water wars at Vitense Golf Land as well as a picnic at Marshal Park!
Week 3 - NFL Flag Football Camp
This camp will emphasize passing, catching, kicking, strategy and the general rules of the game. Patrick Jost, Dale Schuhmacher and the Memorial High School Girls Basketball staff will be running a three-hour basketball clinic each day. The campers will have an opportunity to sign up for a variety of sport classes the remainder of the day as well as swimming at Spring Harbor Beach. We will get a VIP tour of the Kohl Center for our field trip this week as well as a picnic at Vilas Park!
Week 4 - Sports Challenge Challenge yourself in a variety of sports this week. Fun game-like challenges will be offered in a variety of sports. Activities may include swimming in the pool or lake, use of the lake zone including the water trampoline, iceberg, log roll, water volleyball, sea teeter totter and the hamster wheel, non-motorized water equipment, land wheels, mini putt, climbing wall and space ball!
Week 5 - Summer Olympics Camp This week will incorporate summer Olympic events such as swimming, volleyball, baseball/softball, track and more! Activities include fun in the wave pool and on the water slides as well as fun on the mini roller coasters and carnival rides!

Ages 11 — 14
Adventure Club is constantly on the move exploring Madison and southern Wisconsin! Our program provides 11-14 year olds with all the valuable experiences of “summer camp” and the flexibility busy families need by providing week-by-week registration. Our counselors will help create a memorable summer that will encourage your youth to make friends and gain new experiences through action-packed days filled with field trips to water parks, museums, sporting events and more! Camp T-shirt provided. Participants bring own lunch daily. Drop-off and pick-up at YMCA site you registered with.

Week 1 - Summer Palooza!
Start your summer off with nothing but fun in the sun! There’s no better way to kick-off the best season and celebrate the end of school than with a summer party all week long.
Week 2 - Wet-n-Wild Week
Keep the summer fun going with a splash! We’ll be splashin’, ridin’ and slidin’ at the area’s favorite water parks, pools and any other place where you can get wet! Must be a good swimmer to attend this week.
Week 3 - Sounds of Summer
All things loud and all things fun! We’ll be spending the week making all kinds of noise. The week’s activities may include bowling, a trip to Summerfest and taking in a Beloit Snappers game.
Week 4 - Freak of Nature
Discover the fun of the great outdoors. This week will keep you busy outside while exploring the world around you. Activities may include horseback riding, canoeing, hiking and more outdoor extravaganza! No program on July 4th.
Week 5 - Beat the Heat
Summer doesn’t just bring heat, it also brings tons of fun in the sun! There’s only one way to beat the heat and that is to keep busy having fun. This week we will keep our minds off the temperature by taking trips that are best enjoyed in the summer.
