T-Ball & Youth BaseballIt's a Hit!Baseball: America’s Pastime! This legendary sport has evolved in America over the last 150 years and continues to be a favorite activity for young and old alike. Combining teamwork, intelligence, athleticism and much more, it’s easy to see why so many enjoy watching and playing this sport. At the YMCA of Dane County, we organize training classes and short leagues to help youth develop essentials skills that they’ll use both on and off the field. We introduce young athletes to the variety of defensive positions, hitting techniques, and general game-play while fostering positive attitudes, friendly competitive spirit, and excellent sportsmanship. As with any of our youth sports, our T-Ball and Baseball programs stress the importance of positive attitudes and help to develop youth character through our four core values of honesty, caring, respect and responsibility. Whether at the plate or in the field, your child is sure to enjoy meeting new friends, developing new skills and learning more about the great sport of baseball!
