| COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES PROGRAM INSTRUCTOR - EAST Contact: Katie Oeftger @ 221-1574 x3021 or katie.oeftger@ymcadanecounty.org Days & Hours: Three weekdays per week. 1:00pm-4:00pm Mon - Thurs and/or Fri. 9:30am - 12:30pm Pay Rate: $8.75/hour Special Certifications or Requirements: Experience working with individuals with disabilities necessary. Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driverís license. Must obtain and maintain CPR certification. Job Duties: Plan and implement daily activities in the community for small groups of individuals with disabilities. Comply with program policies to ensure safety and health of participants. Encourage independence and educate participants in skills using the community (money management, communicating with the public, social skills, etc.) |

Previous YMCA experience preferred. Advanced computer and phone skills desired. Excellent sales and customer service skills required. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Bilingual skills are a plus. CPR and First Aid certification must be obtained within 3 months of start date. Must be able to twist, stand, bend over and lift at least 25 pounds on a regular basis. Job Duties: Process, record, update and maintain all membership records including development and analysis of membership reports, record keeping and computer data entry. Effectively communicate with a diverse population regarding a wide variety of membership issues. Assist in training member service staff with policies and procedures. Complete all bank draft processes and transactions for membership. Clearly communicate with financial institutions regarding financial issues. Assist member service staff in all operations including program registration, membership sales, public relations and telephone communications. Provide quality customer service to members, prospective members, visitors, and program participants. Requires the ability to work appropriately with confidential information. |
