Days & Hours: Full time exempt position
Pay Rate: $33,000-$43,154 per year plus excellent benefits
Special Certifications or Requirements: This position requires experience and proven success in organization, supervision, budget, relationship building, membership development and staff development. Strong knowledge of fitness program development, conditioning principles, and exercise physiology is required. The ability to teach a variety of group fitness classes and previous YMCA training is preferred. Degree in Health and Fitness or related field recommended. A well qualified candidate will have a solid understanding of Activate America initiative, member engagement and Health Seekers. Must have or obtain the following certifications: YMCA Healthy Lifestyle Principles, YMCA Foundations of Group Exercise, YMCA Foundations of Strength and Conditioning, Personal Training Certification, Group Fitness Certifications, CPR, First Aid and other general YMCA certifications.
Job Duties: Provide overall leadership and direction of Health & Fitness department. Plan, develop and execute Health and Fitness programs including outreach locations. Coordinate employee wellness plan, corporate wellness, outreach services, on site health screenings, community events, health fairs and wellness clinics, and Activate America initiatives. Develop, maintain and monitor Health and Fitness department budget. Oversee recruitment, hiring, training, supervision, and evaluation of all Health & Fitness staff, including, but not limited to Group Exercise Instructors, Lifestyle Center Staff and Personal Trainers. Accountable for member conflict and resolution. Maintain consistent, quality customer service in assigned areas. Conduct regularly scheduled staff meetings. Maintain communication with staff and colleagues. Develop, monitor and implement Health & Fitness budget. Act as Manager On Duty as assigned by Branch Executiveís schedule. Serve in a leadership role for identified YMCA special events and committees.

   
  COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES PROGRAM INSTRUCTOR - EAST

Pay Rate: $8.75/hour
Special Certifications or Requirements: Experience working with individuals with disabilities necessary. Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driverís license. Must obtain and maintain CPR certification.
Job Duties: Plan and implement daily activities in the community for small groups of individuals with disabilities. Comply with program policies to ensure safety and health of participants. Encourage independence and educate participants in skills using the community (money management, communicating with the public, social skills, etc.)

Job Duties: Process, record, update and maintain all membership records including development and analysis of membership reports, record keeping and computer data entry. Complete all bank draft processes and transactions for membership. Clearly communicate with financial institutions regarding financial issues. Assist member service staff in all operations including program registration, membership sales, public relations and telephone communications. Job Duties: Build relationships with members, give orientations to the LSC, clean and maintain the LSC, personal train members, and teach strength training classes to youth and adults.
